I considered giving this hotel a 3 out of 5 review based on the lounge not being very good and the A/C not working very well. However, I gave them the benefit of the doubt on the A/C and figured the lounge wasn’t that big of a deal.
The hotel is in a great location, near some of the ministry buildings and a lake with ample walking paths. There were great food options very nearby. You could probably walk, but we ended up driving as it was just a bit further than we wanted to walk back after dinner.
I was upgraded to a king suite, which was very, very large by any standard, especially compared to the typical size room in Korea. The room has an entry way with coffee maker and mini-bar, a sitting area (with desk, couch, coffee table, and large TV), a king bed and another large TV, a powder room and closet, and a large bathroom with separate tub and shower.
The gym was large, with great views from the top floor. Plenty of cardio machines, free weights, and other weight equipment.
The restaurant was nice. We only had drinks there, which were good, so we couldn’t rate the food.
We checked the lounge, but it was dead empty, very hot, and everything was à la cart priced. We had stayed at another alcohol and food. Courtyard in Suwon the night before and the club access gave us food and drinks.
The A/C seemed to stop blowing cool air overnight. The temp rose to 74 F even though the thermostat was set to 69 F. No matter what I tired the temp would not come back down. My business partner staying at the same hotel had the same issue and we overheard someone at the front desk the next day also complaining about the same issue.
All in all, I’d stay here again, just fix the A/C and improve the lounge.
