I will start off by saying that I disagree with Gex T's review below, and overall had a very pleasant experience staying at Boseong Tourist Motel. If you are looking for a cheap place to sleep for a night or two while in Boseong (we travelled there to explore the nearby Green Tea Plantations) I would definitely recommend staying here. In September 2013 a room without internet was 35,000 KRW. A room supplied with a computer and internet was 40,000 KRW. The hotel is located a 2 minute walk away from the bus terminal (you can spot it easily as soon as you get off the bus). If you are arriving via the slow train, it is about a 6/7 minute walk. Make a left onto the main road, and just walk straight and you will see it. We arrived late in the evening, and we were greeted by a friendly man behind the counter. He spoke mainly Korean and very little English, but was extremely helpful and patient with our broken Korean and hand gestures. We had zero problems communicating. However, having said that, after checking in we had no problems so we didn't need any additional service. We needed to use a computer during our stay, so we selected the room for 40,000 KRW. It was a modest room and certainly was not fancy. It was an older room, and looked a bit run-down. bathroom is Korean wet-room style. Included: TV (ours worked perfectly, with a nice selection of stations), aircon, computer, water cooler, fridge (wasn't too cold, though...), and all the standards of a cheaper korean hotel (big shampoo, hair spray, etc.) It was pretty clean... but I wouldn't go eating off of the floors or anything ;) The town is very small but there are two convenience stores within minutes, and if you walk into main town square area (go out of hotel and turn right... walk straight... can't miss it!) you will see a small supermarket, paris baguette, korean restaurants, pizza place, etc etc. There are several galbi places around that serve green tea samgyeopsal, green tea kimchi-jjigae, green tea makgeoli, etc... If you can't find one, just ask someone! I was amazed at how many people spoke very good English, considering what a small town it was. The men at 7-11 suggested a wonderful restaurant. If you have bags and you have checked out of the hotel, you can keep them at the train station. There is a little room in the back (no lockers) but ask nicely and they will be more than happy to help. We left ours there for an entire day. If you need to get to the Green Tea Plantations, get on the bus at the stop in front of the train station. Double check with the bus driver, but while we were waiting a taxi driver helped us figure out which bus to get on (how nice!) and then the bus driver made sure we got off in the right place too. Overall, if you are looking for luxury, this is not your hotel. If you just want a decent place to sleep without spending a lot of money, this is your hotel. Not cozy, but nice regardless.…

Went there with my family in Dec 2012, we booked 2 double bedroom and specially requested for connecting or side-by-side room when I call for reservation. When we check in, they gave us room of different level instead. After much hand-signal and translation via google translation (the Auntie could only speak Korean), they finally gave us rooms of the same level. But that is when trouble starts. The rooms has all the amenities of a cheap motel, big bottle of shampoo, shower gel, hair gel, comb, mens cologne, towels, tea bags, water dispenser, water humidifier (doesnt work), cup sterilizer (again, it doesnt work but still leave it in the room!), shower head, a armchair, electronic heated bed and a problematic TV (poor connection somewhere and hence the screen is always filled with busy lines). Call the reception Auntie for help but of coz she didnt understood us hence I went down to call her and she was very reluctant to help. She was instead busy playing games on her mobile and signal that she will come up later to help. Came up 10mins later, knocked the TV a few times, TV screen recovered. But I sweared, within less than 5mins, it was back to poor screen again. Also, I realized the shower heater wasnt working (it was a pain to shower in the cold when it was winter) and hence Call the Auntie for help again with the same treatment earlier. At that point, I was really pissed why am I paying to suffer such poor service. Request for a room change but it was fully booked so I had no choice but to stick to this motel. Also, wifi is not available in the room, only available in the lobby, which was really dumb. There is only one narrow lift in the entire motel which only fit 2 adults with their luggage at any time. No luggage, 4 adults. We stay on level 5, it's a pity I couldnt rem the problematic room number. The only good thing is, the location is near to the bus terminal (less than 200m) and that it's cheap. Really won't recommend this motel if you dont speak korean and if you do not require any service.…
