We rented the condo for 2 weeks in December, during the off season, so it was really quiet but still warm during the day and was warm enough to get in the water for a little bit. The condo was updated, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, laundry room, with balcony facing the ocean 3rd story up. Flooring was tiled and had an area rug in the living room and one bedroom. They do no allow pets but the first weekend we were there, we heard a dog barking below us for several hours. We found excellent places to eat, locally owned within 3 miles. It is a residential stretch of road. The beach is non-driving section. If you do want to drive on the beach, you can go north a mile and access the beach and drive north. Ponce Inlet has a lighthouse and Marine Research Center with a turtle hospital, fish exhibit, touch tank, and bird sanctuary north of the condo, about a 15 minute drive. Watching dolphins and bird watching on the balcony was a daily sight. The pool is heated and very nice. They have a shuffleboard between the pool and beach with plenty of space for sunning. If you like small town car shows, the second Saturday of the month, New Smyrna Beach (mainland) has a nice show, around 400 cars. During the summer, they host an art show in the adjacent park the same weekend they have the car show, something for everyone. The downtown of both the beach and mainland are fun to walk around. We drove to the restaurants. Our favorite restaurants on Atlantic Ave: J B's Fish Camp (south of the condo), north of the condo: PJ's Seashack, Norwoods, and The Garlic (little pricey). We had excellent food at all places but I have to say, we ate at PJ's Seashack several times because the foot was excellent at great price. They had daily specials that we couldn't pass up!! There is a shopping center within walking distance, but we did not try any of the eateries there. I think there was a bar on one end and a breakfast restaurant on the other. There is a very large Dollar General store in the center and they do have some fresh veggies, meats, etc. There is a Publix's grocery store further north a couple of miles. I don't know how hectic the area would be during prime season since the two times we were there, it was off season. Love hearing the waves at night.....

Yes, we have one on the 5th floor just new onto the rental program that will accept small dogs. It is unit 503 and a one bedroom unit that is very nice if you get a chance to look at the website.
