The positives. Clean, comfortable room and a very friendly welcome. But, beware, this is not a B & B, despite the fact that various booking sites suggest otherwise, and the second photo that you see shows a nicely laid table - why? This is meaningless and misleading. Luckily we have family nearby so we were not unduly inconvenienced. The bathroom was clean, but somebody else's toothbrush and other dental bits and pieces were there so we were not entirely sure that we did have exclusive use of it. The TV in the room could show only Netflix, so watching Match of the Day or the news in bed was not possible. The advertising just needs to be a bit more transparent to give it a higher score.

I booked an ensuite room for the 25th may as I was going to my dads wedding. Today, only 4 days before the wedding I received an email saying they have had to cancel my booking to give it to someone else who had booked. They offered me another room but with a communal shower which would have been fine. I emailed back asking if the room was any cheaper as it didn't have ensuite facilities and having to share a shower room. Which wouldn't have been an issue to pay the same I was asking a question so that I could make sure I had the correct money on arrival. I recieved a phone call shortly after the email. A woman spoke (well pretty much shouted down the phone) accusing me of asking for compensation. When I tried to speak to her she would continuously speak over me not allowing me to clear up her misunderstanding. She ended the call saying "your booking is being cancelled. Go and find somewhere else if you can haha" Absolutely disgusting customer service. Now 4 days before I'm left searching for another hotel…

Bridge house is not a hotel!!! We paid for a room in someones house! We arrived and was shown to our rooms, on opening the doors of the wardrobes and drawers we were greeted with someones underwear,shoes and other items. There was medication and toiletries left in the bath soiled extra pillows and valance sheet.We were unble to lock the door when we were in the bedroom as there was no lock on the door! There was no fire detectors or fire door in the rooms! All in all a very odd nights stay for £60 a night

This was advertised as being rooms, but no breakfast, which I am not familiar with. Host was very friendly, there was a TV room - which we ere unable to use due to time constraints, but looked very welcoming. In the morning,the host decided he could give us breakfast after all and went to some trouble to lay a table and provide us with a choice of cereals and croissants and coffee. Perhaps they are new to the business. We had a room with 'shared bathroom' as we booked late and accommodation was in short supply in the area. They had 1 en suite - and 2 other rooms that share a bathroom, but we were the only other guests, so not too much of a problem

Terrible customer service. The owner of the hotel cancelled my booking only a few hours before I was due to arrive, and they couldn't be less helpful. They were really unprofessional. I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone!
