Another "Marriott family" facility "parked" in the "halls of motels" surrounding the coliseum. Adequate parking and entrances into the facility. Staff were pleasant on check-in and check-out. Room was nice - though noise through the walls wasn't dampened very much. Mattress had seen some use over time - the valleys were "moderate", not "deep" as in the Garrison Keillor context. Shower was great - room for six, but without a door, the water covered part of the floor outside the stall. Breakfast was nice, as was the exercise room. Good location, though a little hard to find without a GPS.
Very clean, easy check in process, full kitchen, well laid out bathroom, comfortable bed, substantial work space, centrally located, very good breakfast, newer building, friendly staff. Con: The check in staff should listen to the needs of customers, Because of my research project, I specifically requested a room that was quiet, however she assigned me room 213, beside the elevators.
The hotel is new and clean which is very nice and important. However, there are several things that need attention. There is a gas-like odor on the first floor. We were told this is not gas, but a venting issue that the boiler room needs another vent. It did not seem good to be inhaling air that wasn't properly vented. Breakfast closed earlier than we were told. Once our room was not cleaned and another time it got to the late afternoon and we came back to an uncleaned room. Seems they need more people cleaning.
When I stayed here it had only been open approximately 3weeks. It is in a great location close to the mall, food, and the Coliseum. I would surely recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are traveling and want more space than a standard hotel room. I hope that this place continues to exceed my expectations in the future.
With travels over 189 nights a year, this is the best hotel in Greensboro. The staff is wonderful and the accomindation are the best. With three visits to this property, the management staff, front desk and housekeeping are outstanding. Thirty years of travel, to find a rare gem like this is worth staying. Location is great, a new hotel and after coming back each trip to Greensboro is saying something. I have been a guest at over six thousand plus hotels in the United States and parts of the world. This stands out with a great package of Customer service and guest satifaction. If you come to this area, this is the best in Greensboro, this is the hotel of choice.
