We stayed in Hill View three nights and really enjoyed it. Beautiful views on the town and the hills around. Rooms are simple but clean. They prepared great local food. Cold drinks. Alpha, the owner, and his team were just great : very helpful, they guided us on nice walks around the hills, and meanwhile working on a new construction. A beautiful local initiative with a vision.

Hill View is a unique and wonderful place to stay: exceptional local food, hugely attentive staff, incredible hill views, two gorgeous and friendly dogs and a great guided tour of the Wara Wara Hills. Highly recommended!

Les chambres sont propres et confortables (par rapport aux standards locaux) et le lit dispose d'une bonne moustiquaire. La salle de bains/toilettes étaient propres eux aussi avec un gros bidon d'eau pour pouvoir se doucher et utiliser les toilettes. La vue de la terrasse sur les montagnes environnantes et la ville est superbe. La terrasse elle-même est relaxante. On peut s'y poser pour lire, jouer aux cartes ou prendre un verre. Les petits-déjeuners étaient copieux. Le dîner était très bon. Indiquez juste quelques heures à l'avance aux propriétaires ce que vous désirez manger et la maîtresse de maison se chargera de faire les courses et cuisiner pour vous. Service très souriant. Comme partout en Afrique, observez les règles basiques de précaution la nuit en fermant vos sacs et retournant vos chaussures. Nous avons repéré une paire de scolopendres qui fuient dès que vous vous en approchez.…

The only positive thing is the view from the terrace and the balconies. Rooms are very basic. Power supply is with solar panels (so no electricity in rainy season); they billed us 7 liters of fuel to run the generator, went to the town to buy it and came back with 2 liters only. Anyway, we asked to shut the generators off as the noise was unbearable and the fumes came into the room. No running water, only a bucket in the bathroom, hot water supplied with a flask. Linens not clean, maybe they never change them. The price is not high, but it is overpriced compared to similar places in the country.
